Betsy Wald conducted her "Snow in July" hands-on science program at Hilton Branch Library. The program was part of the Summer Reading Club.
This hands-on science series for kids ages 6 - 9 is in three parts. July 29th is 'Volcanoes and Tornadoes' and August 5th is 'Water Jelly Crystals'. At this time, the classes are full with waiting lists, but we hope to continue hands-on science workshops in the Fall.

It Worked!
State Budget Restores Monies
Thank you for signing orange postcards, reaching out to local officials and generally advocating for the library. Your efforts paid off! The 2011 State budget restores $4.3 million to Library Network Services, so we'll be able to continue offering interlibrary loan and delivery and retain internet access. Our work isn't done - our budget was still cut by 43%, but we're happy to keep our core services. Thanks again!
